A scrumptious banana leaf meal lunch. It was packed with flavors and just the right spice. We loved the ambience of the restaurant, the staffs were super friendly and attentive. Their service is definitely top notch. In my opinion, it was a hearty and wholesome meal. One of the best banana leaf meals I’ve had in KL.

Had an amazing experience at this South Indian banana leaf restaurant! The food was bursting with flavor perfectly spiced curries, crispy papadams, and the freshest rice served the traditional way on a banana leaf. The variety of vegetarian dishes was impressive, and everything tasted so authentic and homemade. Service was warm and quick, and the staff made us feel right at home. We got the crab curry and lamb shank both were really good. Definitely a must-visit if you’re craving a wholesome, satisfying South Indian meal!

This is our second time eating here and the quality is consistent - which is yummy and I like it mostly because it has a wide variety of dishes that not a lot of banana leaf places do! The ingredients used are fresh. The side dishes on the banana leaf never disappoints as well. Crab rassam is the bomb as you can really taste the crab flavor. The curries are just nice and flavorful, not too spicy so it doesn’t ruin the rest of the dishes. Going to be our go to banana leaf moving forward. Oh! Forgot to mention the cleanliness even the toilets Service by the staff are super friendly as you can see very well trained by their boss who’s always there wearing a smile.

A Truly Improved Gem – Maya’s of Solaris Mont Kiara I’m genuinely impressed with how much Maya’s has improved, especially in terms of cleanliness and overall quality. The management clearly takes feedback seriously — everything feels fresher, better organized, and more inviting. The staff deserve special mention: they’re always welcoming, quick to attend to guests, and ever-ready to meet individual needs. Today Zubir( the most charming) heated up my masala tea that had gone cold. I’ve noticed their patience and kindness, even with difficult or restless children; Naresh( one photo) I witnessed always with smiles attends this kid who drops their toy for fun of it — that level of professionalism is rare! Their new Friday vegetarian meal, now priced at RM17.90 (down from RM21.90), has become my favourite meal of the week. It’s both satisfying and good value. A special shout-out to Ayu, ( photo) the cashier with the lovely flower in her hair — her charming presence and warm smile make everyone feel right at home. And Suresh, the friendly gentleman, greets every guest like a VIP, regardless of how much they spend. That genuine equality in treatment sets Maya’s apart from many other Indian restaurants, even though it’s considered a high-end dining spot. As a Penang girl, my taste buds can be quite demanding, and I appreciate that the team handles feedback graciously — never defensive, always open to improvement. I honestly expected to be ignored after a previous critical review, but instead, they welcomed me back even more warmly and showed a real commitment to doing better. That’s the kind of maturity and humility you want to see in restaurant owners and staff. Even though the team often looks like they’ve had long hours, they look exhausted, they never fail to greet guests with sincere smiles and warmth that’s hard to find elsewhere. While the food can sometimes vary slightly in consistency, today I noted mango chutney, crab curry and vegetarian spread was excellent, though the prices are on the higher side, the overall experience, hospitality, and my favourite masala tea Ripan makes, keep me coming back. Every visit to Maya’s feels like coming home — and that’s something truly special.

Nice place; very large menu; I had the chicken dosai; dosai was thicker then I expected and had the chicken on top; sauces we ok; iced tea a bit too lemony

Quick and friendly service. Had our lunch in July ‘25. The owner of the restaurant was so service oriented and personally went table to table to check on customers’ satisfaction with sincere politeness. Food was superb and spoilt for choices. Just can’t make up our mind which to order!

Since the revamp of old ‘Ravi’ (awful service and unethical staff) to Maya, I am so happy to be back and able to enjoy high quality dosai. As requested by my hubby the staff happily obliged my husband to three servings of his favorite curry dal, and I was able to enjoy my generous serving of coconut dip. Excellent taste, great service … so happy to be able to enjoy good Indian food again.

We went to Maya's last Friday for lunch. I was vegetarian and my other 2 friends were none vegetarian. We ate banana leaf meals. There were variety of vegetable dishes and non vegetarian dishes. Fabulous food. My favourite was mango chutney. We ended our meal with nice 'Bru' coffee.
